Merit Appeals Board
February 25, 2025
CHR. CABANAS: Okay.
MS. TOKIHIRO: So, we'll reconnect and if he doesn't want to do the voice over, then we can
have the radio station do that first `cause we do really want to move forward with different
avenues of getting the word out.
CHR. CABANAS: Okay, `cause this is a good time with Merrie Monarch coming up.
MS. TOKIHIRO: Yeah.
CHR. CABANAS: And we have the global attention for the festival.
MS. TOKIHIRO: Correct, yeah.
CHR. CABANAS: People start coming to our island as early as —well, Merrie Monarch starts
April 20''so as early as end of March —some are already here.
I just note that —'cause it says, "Radio Hiring Campaign to begin in January." I didn't hear
anything, so I was just wondering.
MS. TOKIHIRO: Yeah. So, we are definitely working on that. And then, we also went
recently —and met with the team at Na Leo TV to see what types of services they may be able to
offer as far as promotion of our Jobs Website.
CHR. CABANAS: Anything with television?
MS. TOKIHIRO: Beyond Na Leo —no.
CHR. CABANAS: No, besides Na Leo.
MS. TOKIHIRO: No. No other television spots at this point.
MS. BOND: I actually noticed that KHON has started a thing where it's, like, "Job of the
Week" —or "Job of the Day." And it's, like, they've been doing for different counties. I don't
know if you guys are involved in that but you might want to reach out to them and see if we can
get "Job of the Day"
MS. TOKIHIRO: Yeah, that would be great. I'll talk to Michelle and have her follow-up with
them.
MS. BOND: It's one of those early morning thingsI see it go by"Oh, look."
MS. TOKIHIRO: Yeah.
Page 13
