HDOT shall coordinate with SHPO and consulting parties to identify an appropriate site for installing the interpretive signage within the project area F. Interpretive sign shall be no smaller than 36" x 24". The sign shall be completed within 12 months after approval of the prefinal draft, with installation of the sign occurring within 90 calendar days after the completion of the bridge replacement project. G. The final design of the interpretive sign (including the location, materials, dimensions, general appearance, and manufacturing specifications) shall consider the following: • Safety for users of the area, including potential conflicts with vehicles,pedestrians, bicyclists, or other constraints. • Quality of the design, including readability and usefulness of the interpretive sign to convey information. • Compatibility ofthe interpretive sign with the rural and natural environmental character of the area. • Durability and life expectancy of the interpretive sign. • Feasibility ofinstallation and maintenance. • Cost H. HDOT and FHWA shall have final approval authority over the content and design of the interpretative sign. III. DURATION This MOA will expire if its terms are not carried out within five (5)years from the date of its execution. Prior to such time, FHWA may consult with the other signatories and consulting parties to reconsider the terms of the MOA and amend it in accordance with Stipulation IX Amendments. IV. MONITORING AND REPORTING On an annual basis, no later than January 31 of each year, following the execution of this MOA until it expires or is terminated, FHWA shall provide all parties to this MOA a summary report detailing work undertaken pursuant to its terms.
