HDOT shall coordinate with SHPO and consulting parties to identify an appropriate site <br /> for installing the interpretive signage within the project area <br /> F. Interpretive sign shall be no smaller than 36" x 24". The sign shall be completed within <br /> 12 months after approval of the prefinal draft, with installation of the sign occurring <br /> within 90 calendar days after the completion of the bridge replacement project. <br /> G. The final design of the interpretive sign (including the location, materials, dimensions, <br /> general appearance, and manufacturing specifications) shall consider the following: <br /> • Safety for users of the area, including potential conflicts with vehicles,pedestrians, <br /> bicyclists, or other constraints. <br /> • Quality of the design, including readability and usefulness of the interpretive sign to <br /> convey information. <br /> • Compatibility ofthe interpretive sign with the rural and natural environmental <br /> character of the area. <br /> • Durability and life expectancy of the interpretive sign. <br /> • Feasibility ofinstallation and maintenance. <br /> • Cost <br /> H. HDOT and FHWA shall have final approval authority over the content and design of the <br /> interpretative sign. <br /> III. DURATION <br /> This MOA will expire if its terms are not carried out within five (5)years from the date of its <br /> execution. Prior to such time, FHWA may consult with the other signatories and consulting <br /> parties to reconsider the terms of the MOA and amend it in accordance with Stipulation IX <br /> Amendments. <br /> IV. MONITORING AND REPORTING <br /> On an annual basis, no later than January 31 of each year, following the execution of this MOA <br /> until it expires or is terminated, FHWA shall provide all parties to this MOA a summary report <br /> detailing work undertaken pursuant to its terms. The report shall include any scheduling changes <br /> proposed, any problems encountered, and any disputes and objections received in FHWA or <br /> 4 <br />
