Section 343-5, HRS <br /> establishes nine"triggers"that require the completion of an EA.The proposed Project will involve <br /> the use of State or County lands and/or funds, which is one of the triggers listed under §343- <br /> 5(a)(1). This EA has thus been prepared to consider the impacts of the proposed action on the <br /> human and natural environment. <br /> 1.6 STUDIES CONTRIBUTING TO THIS EA <br /> The information contained in this report has been developed from site visits, consultation with <br /> local officials and community members, information available regarding the characteristics of the <br /> proposed Project Site and surrounding areas, and technical studies.
