Taniguchi: Is that the one you're referring to? <br />Hitsman: There's I think a couple of the protests had mentioned parking and that <br />driveway, and the back because it is like I said, a shared driveway for several properties <br />back there. <br />Taniguchi: Because you don't have that many tables. <br />Hitsman: No. And the other thing is too is that I think that there might be a little bit <br />confusion too because, and we did take some time pictures because the church that's <br />next door also parks along that cul-de-sac there. And so, sometimes in some of the <br />complaints that we have gotten aren't actually from our customers, it's actually from <br />church members. And so, like there was a complaint that somebody was you know <br />parked on the County gate or the what do you call it? <br />Singletary: The sewage grade. <br />Hitsman: The sewage grade, but then we have pictures of times that we're not even <br />open and it's actually the church members. And so, there might be a little bit of a <br />disconnect or like a confusion as to whose there at which time because we really <br />encourage our customers to be parking in our parking lot, I mean because then that <br />way we're completely responsible for them, right? Yeah. <br />Taniguchi: So, the music that you're allowed to have on Fridays and Saturdays, is that <br />limited to a certain type of music? No amplified music? <br />Singletary: There's no type of music that's it's limited to but I don't like techno or any of <br />that kind stuff, so I don't see it playing in my establishment, I'm more of an oldies guy. <br />Hitsman: Yes exactly, like I said the capacity for that back area just really isn't a big <br />capacity for a large band, and so there's not a stipulation necessarily on our permit, <br />but for us personally you know, we want people to come and have a good time and <br />still be able to talk to their family and let the keiki be there too. So we're not looking for <br />something vulgar, we're not looking for something like I said gonna blow the roof off the <br />place, just something that's you know nice, single person with a guitar or ukulele, you <br />know that kind of thing. <br />Taniguchi: So, it's a restaurant? <br />Hitsman: Yes. <br />Singletary: Yes, we're a restaurant, we're not a bar. <br />Hitsman: We're not a bar, and we're not advertising as a bar. <br />Taniguchi: So, how come you got a pool table? <br />MINUTES - LIQUOR COMMISSION MEETING - THURSDAY, MAY 11 2025 - HILO PAGE 7 OF 63 <br />
