There was no public testimony.
Okabe: Is there any discussion or questions from the Commissioners?
Nakashima: Mr. Tepper?
Tepper: Yes.
Nakashima: You have here you're being 100% stock shareholder, you just said you
were a third.
Tepper: No, that's not correct, so I own a third, and then a third is owned by Winston
Gamble, and then a third is owned by Bryan Tepper. So, I was here two months ago,
and same thing, nothing has changed since then.
Nakashima: Okay, well this report is not accurate then on your application on the
Personal History and Affidavit.
Waltjen: Are you looking at his Personal History and Affidavit?
Nakashima: Yes.
Waltjen: I think he's talking about Kona Winds Coffee Company LLC.
Nakashima: Okay.
Tepper: Oh I see, okay so that entity I own 100%, that's correct, yes sir. Sorry,
apologies for the confusion there.
Takase: The licensee is South Kona Stills, you're a third owner of that.
Tepper: Correct, yes sir.
Okabe: Commissioner Greenwell?
Greenwell: Was it your father that told us about some agricultural derivative that they
were going to try and produce, is that still in the works?
Tepper: It is still in the works, yes. Our hope is, is that we'll be able to use the sprays
for coffee leaf rust, and then for vehicles that we use, and it's still in the works, yes.
Greenwell: Well, that's still going to be a product?
Tepper: A product, absolutely yes, and it's a bi-product of the distillation process, so
we feel that that's going to definitely help a lot of the farms in the community. Well, I'm
actually quite excited about that because we are a coffee farm.
MINUTES - LIQUOR COMMISSION MEETING - THURSDAY, JULY 31 2025 - HILO PAGE 18 OF 39
