GMAC 2025 First Quarter Report on its activities, Chair Turalde. <br /> c. General Plan update status as is currently being discussed by the County <br /> Council. Chair Turalde <br /> d. Report on the site visit with NARS, DOFAW, GMAC, and hunters of the <br /> proposed fencing of Puumakaala Forest from 800 acres to 400 acres, <br /> Chair Turalde. <br /> e. Firearms rules public hearing update on rulemaking for the firearms <br /> regulations. Chair Turalde. <br /> 7. NEW BUSINESS: <br /> a. The Commission intends to discuss topics for future GMAC agenda <br /> presentations. Chair Turalde. <br /> b. Kau Forest Reserve Access, discussion and decision-making as to <br /> whether or not to support grant of easement for continued public access to <br /> the Kau Forest Reserve crossing the mauka portion of Tax Map Key 9-5- <br /> 008:001 between Makino Road and Haao Springs, as related to the <br /> Naalehu Hill Consolidation and Resubdivision, Application No. PL-SUB- <br /> 2024-000279. Commissioner Duerr <br /> 8. ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> a. Next Meeting: September 16, 2025, at 9.00 a.m. <br /> 25 Aupuni Street, Puna Conference Room, 1501, Hilo, HI 96720. <br /> 9. ADJOURNMENT. <br /> Executive Session: This Commission anticipates it may convene in one or more executive <br /> sessions regarding the above matters listed on the agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections 92-4 and <br /> 92-5 (a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with the Board's attorney on questions and issues <br /> pertaining to the Commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A two-thirds <br /> (2/3) vote pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statute Section 92-4 is necessary to hold an executive <br /> session. Executive sessions are closed to the public. <br /> Note: This meeting shall be automatically recessed for up to 30 minutes to restore communication <br /> when audiovisual communication cannot be maintained with all Commission members <br /> participating in the meeting or with the "in-person" location identified in this agenda. This meeting <br /> may be in-person when either audiovisual communication is restored, or audio-only <br /> communication is established after an unsuccessful attempt to restore audiovisual <br /> communication. If it is not possible to reconvene the meeting as provided in this subsection within <br /> County of Hawaii is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
