What are the objectives of the proposed project? Choose only one category and use <br /> additional pages as needed. <br /> ❑ Management Planning ❑ Maintenance Activities and Public Education <br /> Our objective is to continue to remove invasive species and re-establish native host plants and <br /> strand vegetation. We plan to increase the size of the cleared and expand the native plant habitat <br /> area. <br /> Our team of labor workers, community volunteers and students help propagate seedlings and <br /> out-plant them on site at O'oma, keep the planting site cleared and weeded, make sure plants <br /> are watered and cared for. Project manager will host students and community volunteers as well <br /> as organize constant propagation, maintenance, and watering of strand vegetation, conduct <br /> beach clean-ups and promote a healthy, safe and clean environment. <br /> Local schools have incorporated this stewardship program into their curriculum for the school <br /> year with planned regular site visits for work days and education. We will expand on our O'oma <br /> Education Curriculum to included removing invasive plants, carrying green waste to truck for <br /> removal, watering and planting as well as observation exercises.
