See example <br /> in Instructions.) <br /> What is the long-range goal or vision for the property? <br /> The long-range goal for the property is to provide a comprehensive property and resource <br /> management service that ensures the maintenance and preservation of the project area.This vision includes creating a safe space for cultural <br /> and educational programs,offering'aina(land)opportunities to the community,and maintaining a healthy,clean,and safe environment. <br /> Key objectives of the proposal include: <br /> Objective 1: Preserve and highlight cultural and archaeological resources <br /> Identify,protect,and maintain significant archaeological sites while providing visitor guidelines and signage that communicate the cultural <br /> importance of the property. <br /> Objective 2: Develop a comprehensive ecological management plan <br /> Create a management plan that integrates best practices,cultural protocols,and site-specific strategies to guide restoration and stewardship <br /> efforts. <br /> Objective 3: Restore Native Coastal Species and Habitat <br /> Establish a nursery to propagate native coastal plants using locally sourced seeds,ensuring habitat restoration efforts maintain the correct local <br /> genetic integrity.The nursery will also contribute to site resilience by supporting fire mitigation through strategic planting and vegetation <br /> management. <br /> Objective 4: Implement collaborative coastal monitoring <br /> Partner with community organizations and other knowledgeable groups to collect baseline data on ocean conditions,species presence,and <br /> environmental changes to support informed stewardship. <br /> Objective 5: Foster community engagement and cultural learning <br /> Engage kupuna,descendants,schools,volunteers,and stakeholders to create a space for cultural education,practice,and community building. <br /> FINAL 2026 Stewardship Grant Application,Page 3 of 13 <br /> 26-04 <br />
