NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />POLICE COMMISSION <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Hawaii County Police <br />Commission in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 91 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. <br />Date: October 21, 2005 <br />Time: 9:00 a.m. <br />Place: Department of Liquor Control Conference Room <br />75 -5722 Hanama Place, Suite 103, Kailua -Kona <br />The purpose of the public hearing is to afford all persons the opportunity to submit data, <br />views, or arguments, orally or in writing, to the Police Commission for its consideration prior <br />to the adoption of the proposed amendments to its rules and regulations as summarized below. <br />All written comments should be filed with the Hawaii County Police Commission at 25Aupuni <br />Street, Room 200, Hilo, HI 96720, by October 12, 2005. <br />The following is a summary of the substantive changes proposed by the Police Commission: <br />The commission shall submit an annual report to the managing director <br />along with the mayor and council. <br />The regular meeting of the commission shall be on the third Friday of the <br />month at 9:00 a.m. <br />There will be two classifications of case findings: (1) Sufficient Evidence, <br />there is sufficient evidence to support the complainant's allegation and (2) <br />Insufficient Evidence, there is insufficient evidence to either prove or <br />disprove the complainant's allegations. <br />The proposed amended rules may be reviewed in person or a copy obtained at the office of the <br />Hawaii County Police Commission, 25Aupuni St., Rm. 200, Hilo, HI 96720; Monday <br />through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Interested persons may also call the Police <br />Commission at (808) 961 -8412 to have a copy mailed to them. <br />JOHN M.
