Police Commission Meeting Page October 19, 2001 <br />• Office Management and Staffing (Okabe /Muller) <br />• Rules and Policies (Nara and /Bertsch) <br />• Contractual Services (Mills /Kama) <br />• Public Relations (Okabe /Moe) <br />CHIEF'S REPORT <br />• Crime <br />• Traffic <br />• Personnel <br />• Finance <br />• Commendations <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consideration and Investigation of Complaint HPC 01 -38: Complainant alleged that the <br />police department is not enforcing the boom box and leash laws. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />To consider charges brought against officers of the Hawaii County Police Department where matters <br />affecting privacy will be considered and a closed meeting is requested by individuals involved and to <br />consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, <br />duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. <br />• Status Report of Complaints Referred to the Police Chief <br />• Consideration & Investigation of Complaint HPC 01 -27. Complainant alleged that during <br />their arrest for DUI an officer used force in putting on the handcuffs, was disrespectful, and used <br />improper language. <br />Deliberation of Complaint HPC 00 -42. Complainant alleged that officer failed to arrest a <br />man for violating a restraining order and filed an incorrect report.
