Police Commission Meeting Page 2 January 18, 2002 <br />CHIEF'S REPORT <br />• Crime <br />• Traffic <br />• Personnel <br />• Finance <br />• Commendations <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />• Corresp. 02, request by John DeSa, Jr., for reconsideration of his complaint. <br />• Corresp. 03, request by Anita Mathew that the commission follow -up on her <br />correspondence with Chief Correa. <br />• Chief Correa's 2001 Goals and Accomplishments and Annual Evaluation. <br />• 2002 Meeting Schedule. <br />• Appointment of Committees. <br />• Annual State of Hawai'i Police Commissioners' Conference <br />COMPLAINTS AND INVESTIGATIONS <br />• Status Report of Complaints Referred to Chief Correa. <br />• Police Department's Annual Misconduct Report. <br />• HPC 01 -42: Complainant alleged that an officer used profanity and threatened to beat him if <br />he talked to his sergeant again. (continued from previous meeting) <br />• HPC 01 -43: Complainant alleged that she placed three calls to 911 requesting assistance, and <br />no one responded. Subsequently she was assaulted. She alleged that if the police had done <br />their duty, this would not have happened. (continued from previous meeting) <br />• HPC 01 -52: Complainant alleged that a hotel manager and the police conspired to falsify <br />police records, conceal and cover -up something illegal that the manager did, and tampered <br />with his freedom. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The next monthly meeting is scheduled for February 22, 2002, at Keauhou Beach Resort, Kona. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />NOTE: If you require an accommodation or auxiliary aid and /or services to participate in this <br />meeting (i.e., sign language interpreter, large print, etc.), please call 961 -8412. <br />
