MEETING NOTICE <br />HAWAI'I COUNTY POLICE COMMISSION <br />DATE: Friday, March 15, 2002 <br />TIME: 10:00 a.m. <br />PLACE: Hilo Police Department Training Room, 349 Kapiolani St., Hilo <br />AGENDA <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />ROLL CALL <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />STATEMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS (Open to the Public) <br />STATEMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS (Executive Session) <br />To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawaii County <br />Police Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and a <br />closed session is requested, and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and <br />issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. <br />(Pursuant to HRS 92 -5 (2) and Hawai'i County Charter Section 13 -20 (b). <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />February 22, 2002, regular and executive sessions. <br />PERSONNEL ORDERS <br />Nos. 2002 -028 to 2002 -039. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />• Corresp. 10, from the Board Ethics, regarding Petition No. 2002 -03, complaint by Del <br />Pranke that he has been the recipient of unfair and unethical treatment by the Police <br />Commission. <br />• Corresp. 11, Corporation Counsel Lincoln Ashida's response to Del Pranke's complaint <br />to the Board of Ethics against the Police Commission. Mr. Ashida concludes that the <br />complaint is unfounded, and that the Police Commission exercised its responsibilities <br />appropriately. <br />• Corresp. 12, Council Chairman James Arakaki nomination of Peter L. Hendricks of <br />Council District 9 to the Police Commission. <br />• Corresp. 13, from Lilian Beaufrere of Solutions 2002, Neighborhoods in Action, <br />informing of their first annual seminar with all Neighborhood Watch Programs on the <br />Big Island to be held on April 27, 2002. <br />
