YouthCommissionMeeting Minutes <br />November 25, 2025 <br />celebrate.Commissioner Rudo suggested having Eric present to the <br />commission when he gets back. <br /> <br />e. Tentative Meeting Schedule <br />1) The last Tuesday of every month still works for most. <br />a. Tuesday, January 27, 2026 <br />b. Tuesday, February 24, 2026 <br />c. Tuesday, March 31, 2026 <br />d. Tuesday, April 28, 2026 <br /> <br />GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />a. Council Member Kagiwada asked if any commissioners appointed by a Council <br />Member who are terming out and are interested in holding over to please let her <br />know and she will help facilitate the dialogue with the Council Member. <br /> <br />b. Chair Konanui-Tucker provided an update about an upcoming community event, <br />the inaugural Grinch Christmas banquet, organized by Stacy Jarneski of Jarneski <br />Rentals in collaboration with the County of Hawaii. Scheduled for Thursday, <br />December 18, at Edith Kanak Multi-purpose Stadium, the event aims to <br />provide free meals (around 2,000 to potentially 3,000) for attendees. There has <br />been significant interest, with registrations quickly exceeding initial estimates. In <br />addition to meals of laulau and kalua pig, children aged 17 and under will receive <br />free toys. The chair emphasized the need for volunteers to help plate food and <br />distribute meals and toys. Donations have come from various sources, including <br />Amazon registries and local shopping for toys. Volunteers are encouraged to <br />participate in the event preparation. <br /> <br />c. Next meeting is Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 3:45 p.m., in the Pueo <br />Conference Room at the County Building, 25 Aupuni Street, Room 2601, Hilo, HI <br />96720, and also available remote on Zoom. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Chair Konanui-Tucker adjourned the meeting at 4:55 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />
