Police Commission Meeting Page 3 March 14, 2003 <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Correspondence 03 -17, Mayor Kim's request for the commission to discuss the location of the <br />commission's meetings. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawai'i County Police <br />Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and a closed <br />session is requested and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining <br />to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92 -5 <br />(2) and Hawai'i County Charter Section 13 -20 (b). <br />• Status Report of Complaints Referred to the Police Chief. <br />Investigation and Deliberation of Complaints. <br />Complaint HPC 02 -63: Complainant alleged that an officer confiscated her bracelet for <br />which she has a receipt. <br />Complaint HPC 02 -65: Complainant was arrested for violating a TRO. She alleged that <br />she should not have been arrested and should be reimbursed for costs incurred during the <br />incident. <br />Complaint HPC 03 -03: Complainant alleged that an officer harassed her by questioning <br />her about a vehicle accident three times in one night at her place of employment. <br />Complaint HPC 03 -04: Complainant alleged that while being questioned at the police <br />station, he saw a picture of himself with an unprofessional notation on it. <br />ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The next monthly meeting is scheduled for April 11, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at the Waimea Civic <br />Center. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />NOTE: If you require an accommodation or auxiliary aid and /or services to participate in this <br />meeting (i.e., sign language interpreter, large print, etc.), please call 961 -8412. <br />
