and...I'm just curious to know, like, without even...be successful, or would it even be
a disaster? I mean, honestly.
JC: Yeah, shoot, sorry, I wish I could provide more details, but yeah, I don't... I'm not...
TC: No worry
JC: Not in my portfolio, that project.Sorry.
TC: Yeah, no worries at all. I'm just curious.Thank you, bro.
JC: Yeah,easy.
BL: Brian Ley District 4. Hey, I forgot to say it earlier.Thank you for being here. I know, I bad you
guys all the time, but you, Ian, and Kanalu, I think you guys are wonderful people and
everything. My issue is what's coming down from Honolulu, and I don't take it as a personal
attack on you guys. I know you guys are trying and actually trying to help the game animals
and stuff like that, and I know it's Honolulu that's holding you guys back and holding your
jobs over your head if you say too many things that don't ring with, the thing. The last
question is,when are you guys going to start building those waterers in the Patila-critical
habitat? I know I sent you an email about the stacks of pipe and gravel out there, and you
said you guys were gonna build waters out there. And another thing, this is my personal
observation. Since you guys killed the majority of the pigs last year, I noticed that the birds
in that area are way down. I was hunting there twice, and last year, where there were a lot of
birds, in relationship to the amount of pigs and the pig trails and the pig rooting's, I noticed a
huge decline in the bird populations in the areas I was hunting in there, and I was wondering
if you guys are gonna still open it up for the dogs to go in there and get rid of the rest of the
pigs in that fenced area?
JC: Hey, how's it,Josh again, DLNR.Yeah,thanks foryour sentiment, Brian.Yeah, I don't take
any of it personally. I appreciate positive and negative criticism on either side. I mean, it
helps, you guys are extra eyes and ears on the field and gives us an idea of what hunters are
thinking and seeing, and what theywant. We are civil servants, and you guys are the civil,
so... happy to hear it. Water units in old tau lee Old Laolis.Yeah,we had some hiccups with
the PO,with our procurement office in Oahu, but from what Ian told me, it sounds like
we finally got the PO in place so that the, contractor could start building. To bring
people up to speed,we're building four of these larger-than-normal water units, watering
units in,orwater catchments, in,Toei Mitigation Area, formerly known as, Lao Ranch. They
are planned to be 5,000-gallon capacity, structures,4 of them, in there. It's, at the forefront
is to have water on the mountain, both for fire and forwatering game birds, within there. So,
hoping that the contractor can start to... sounds like we finally got our... our purchase order
approved. And then on the pig side,we haven't opened it up this year, pig hunting,we're
hoping to do it in January. Last year,we did this special pig hunt in two areas to let hunters in
with dogs to help reduce the pigs in these managed areas. I do share the same sentiment,
