<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />DISABILITIES <br />FACT SHEET <br /> <br />1/7/2026 <br />Purpose: To advise the Mayor of the County of Hawaii on accessibility issues related <br />to people with disabilities. As its primary goal, the Committee shall review <br />and recommend action and provide guidelines to improve the quality of life <br />for people with disabilities of the County of Hawaii. <br />Authority: Hawaii County Charter, Section 4-4, Advisory Commissions. <br />Appointment: All Members, except ex-officio Members, shall be appointed by the Mayor, <br />of the County of Hawaii.
