Hawaii County Police Commission Page 3 April 18, 2008 <br />• STATEMENTS ON COMPLAINTS <br />• INVESTIGATION AND DELIBERATION OF COMPLAINTS <br />➢ HPC 07 -55: Complainant alleged that an officer harassed kids for sitting on <br />and leaning against their skateboards outside of her skate shop. (Deferred at <br />last meeting.) <br />➢ HPC 08 -05: Complainant alleged that during his arrest, officers used <br />unnecessary force. <br />• CORRESPONDENCE 08 -11, from Corporation Counsel Ashida regarding Bill 270, <br />ordinance to initiate charter amendment relating to the establishment of an Office <br />of Police Oversight and Complaints. <br />ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />• The Police Commission's next monthly meeting will be on May 16, 2008, at 9:00 <br />a.m. in the Department of Liquor Control Conference Room, 75 -5722 Hanama PI., <br />Suite 1107, Kailua -Kona. <br />• Collection of files and documents. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />NOTE: If you require an accommodation or auxiliary aid and /or services to participate <br />in this meeting (i.e., sign language interpreter, large print, etc.), please call the Police <br />Commission at 961 -8412 at least three days prior to the meeting. <br />
