Puna Chocolate Company, dba Hale Cocoa, approval of Application for <br />Increase in Licensed Premises to include approximately 1,306 square feet of <br />(10:19 AM) covered lanai and 3,600 square feet of lawn space for a total of approximately <br />4,906 square feet, approved by Director Stacie Waltjen on January 15, 2026, of <br />its Restaurant General liquor license, Category B1, located at 79-7378 Hawaii <br />Belt Road, Kealakekua, Hawaii. <br />Yadao: Okay, so if you could please explain the application for increase in licensed <br />premises. <br />Gavin: The increase in licensed premises would be in correlation with our addition of a <br />lanai going around the north side of the building and the makai side, as well as the back <br />lawn that is below the lanai that is there currently being finished. <br />Yadao: Commission, any discussion or questions? <br />Morifuji: Yeah, I have one to the staff, what is the category? I noticed none was noted. <br />Waltjen: The category of license they hold? <br />Morifuji: The entertainment, this is the one in Kona, right?
