Identify the Chapter 23 variance request or nature/purpose of the request. Include,identify, <br /> and describe, if necessary, any structures or issues involved. <br /> 4. The notice shall also include the tentative date of the Director's decision, the telephone <br /> number and address of the Planning Department (Hilo Office) where written public <br /> comments can be sent; and <br /> 5. The deadline for submitting written public comments to the Planning Director is <br /> January 8, 2026. <br /> Pursuant to Section 23-17 (c)Within ten days of filing the application for a variance,the applicant <br /> shall post a sign on the subject property notifying the public of the nature of the variance, the <br /> proposed number of lots, the size of the property, the tax map key or keys of the property and that <br /> they may contact the planning department for additional information. The sign shall give the <br /> address and telephone number of the planning department. <br /> The sign should also be inclusive of the associated subdivision application filed earlier. <br /> Proof of service of the above notice must be submitted in a timely fashion and incorporated <br /> into subject subdivision and variance file before any action or decision is rendered on the <br /> variance request.
