STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC – Pursuant to HRS 92-3 interested persons that want to <br />provide oral testimony may do so either at the time the board takes public statements on the agenda <br />or at the time the specific agenda item is called or as otherwise allowed at the sole discretion of the <br />Chair. <br />BUSINESS OFTHEAGENCY <br />1. Legislative Update on the Peninsula: Invited members of the State <br />Legislature to provide updates on the status of the 2026 legislative session bills affecting <br />the Peninsula. <br />Invited Legislators: <br /> Senator Lorraine Inouye <br /> Representative Sue Keohokapu-Lee Loy <br /> Representative Matthias Kusch <br /> Representative Chris Todd <br />2. <br />Peninsula: HCDA Executive Director Craig Nakamoto to provide an update on <br />components and cost structure of the total allocation ($1mm) and an update on what type <br />of Phase 1 or Environmental Assessment is being done, if any. Allow for questions & <br />answers to include questions to the other agenda participants. <br /> <br />3. Mayor’s Office Update on the Peninsula: Mayor Kimo Alameda and/or <br />designated representatives have been invited to comment and provide guidance on <br />initiatives related to the . <br />4. Hilo Bayfront Trails Inc.: Presentationby representatives of Hilo Bayfront Trails Inc. <br />regarding proposed future plans and visions for pedestrian and bicycle trail connectivity <br />along Banyan Drive. <br /> Concerns on Private Property Interest: Discussion of concerns related to private <br />property interests along Banyan Drive, including potential implications for <br />redevelopment and long-term planning. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS <br />1. Approval of meeting minutes from the February 27 <br />Redevelopment Agency meeting. <br />2.
