Liquor Commission <br />Hawaii High Country Lounge, LLC <br />dba Hawaii High Country Lounge <br />Page 3 <br />On December 5, 1991, the Liquor Commission approved the following: <br />1. The lawn area fronting the licensed premises identified as Area A on the sketch and the <br />lawn area located between the new addition and the original licensed premises identified <br />as Area B on the sketch (attached as Exhibit 4) will be used for special functions only. <br />2. Service to the guest rooms within the licensed premises shall be to adults only, as <br />requested, by individual drinks and full bottle service only. <br />3. Service of intoxicating liquor in Building 4 which contains seven guest rooms and a <br />lounge shall be limited to guest rooms and is not permitted in the lounge. The lounge <br />was excluded as Commissioners were concerned about the lack of supervision in this area <br />over the consumption of intoxicating liquor as required by the Rules and Regulations of <br />the Liquor Commission and Chapter 281, HRS, as amended. <br />For further information, refer to Exhibits 3 and 4 attached. <br />DETAILS OF THE CHANGE IN CATEGORY: Applicant currently does not have live <br />entertainment or dancing, therefore they would like to offer this to their customers who are <br />enjoying a meal within the restaurant. <br />Applicant is currently open seven (7) days a week from 8:00 a.m. — 10:00 p.m. Breakfast is <br />served from 8:00 a.m. — 10:00 a.m., lunch from 11:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m., and dinner from <br />5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m., with bar service available until midnight. <br />Live entertainment and dancing will only be held within the restaurant dining area as shown in <br />the Floorplan attached as Exhibit 2. For special events and/or private parties such as weddings, <br />applicant will let our Department know if they plan to have live entertainment in the lawn areas <br />as depicted in Exhibit 4. <br />On March 11, 2026, Applicant submitted an Application for Live Entertainment and Dancing <br />(One Time Only Trial Period Not to Exceed 90 Days) and received approval by the Director on <br />March 15, 2026. <br />COMMERCIAL SPACE LEASE: This Lease commenced May 22, 2018, by and between <br />RTA Kilauea Lodge, LLC, ("Landlord"), and Hawaii High Country Lounge, LLC, ("Tenant"), <br />with a termination date of June 30, 2030. <br />ZONING: Village Commercial. <br />SURROUNDING AREA: A survey of the surrounding area reveals that there are no schools, <br />churches, or liquor licenses with the same class and kind located within 500 feet of the licensed <br />premises. <br />At the present time there are 138 of the same class and 122 of the same kind of liquor licenses <br />being lawfully exercised in the County of Hawaii. <br />
