The ceded land is 1,750,000 acres of crown and government lands that had no lease contract on. King Kalakaua did a thirty-year lease contract for a reason and these are the lands that were not ceded in 1898, so they still fall under the jurisdiction of the Hawaiian Kingdom since the State of Hawai`i relies on the 1898 joint resolution.
