<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />FEBRUARY 2, 2026, AT 11:30 A.M. <br />BUILDING, PUEO CONFERENCE ROOM <br />25 AUPUNI STREET, SUITE 2601 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Parks called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br />Present: Kaycie Lynn Parks, Chair <br /> Skye Narvaez , Vice Chair <br /> Casey-Leigh Sabate Hauanio <br />Shylalyn Gacusana <br /> Cristina Holt (Via Zoom) <br /> <br />Also present: Micah Alameda <br /> J Yoshimoto Deputy Corporation Counsel <br /> Shy-Ann Medeiros Office of Aging <br /> Office of Aging <br />Alika Cockett Equal Opportunity Officer and the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act Coordinator <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />a. Zahava Zaidoff: Thanked the committee for their work and the Mayor for recognizing <br />explaining its origins with Autism Speaks and concerns about perpetuating stigma. <br />Advocated for lighting it up in gold or red (Autistic Self Advocacy Network symbols) <br />rather than blue, to promote true inclusion. <br /> <br />b. Jobette Nabarro: <br />Zoo for people with disabilities. Noted that Bayada clients and their support staff <br />previously used the Zoo during client hours, but the recent $4 entry fee has become a <br />barrier. Requested consideration for a monthly payment arrangement between Bayada <br />clients and staff could enter for free or at a discounted rate. Emphasized the importance <br />of community access and inclusion for people with disabilities. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />a. Approval of the meeting minutes of January 5, 2025. <br />Chair Parks called for public testimony. There being no public testimony, the meeting <br />continued as follows. <br /> <br />Action: Chair Parks called for a motion to approve. A motion was made by Member Shy <br />Gacusana to approve the regular meeting minutes of January 5, 2025, which was <br />seconded by Vice Chair Narvaez. The motion was carried by a vote of 5:0. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
