Eighth Amended Emergency Proclamation Relating to the Hilo Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />the Seventh Amended Emergency Proclamation Relating to the Hilo Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant, issued April 2, 2026, and effective April 4, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, the conditions giving rise to the aforementioned emergency proclamations <br />continue to exist and it is necessary to supplement the Seventh Amended Emergency <br />Proclamation Relating to the Hilo Wastewater Treatment Plant; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, C. KIMO ALAMEDA, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, do <br />hereby proclaim and declare, effective June 3, 2026, that a local state of emergency exists under <br />HRS § 127A-14(b), CCH § 13-23, and HCC § 7-1-7(a), because the condition of the Plant poses <br />an imminent danger or threat of an emergency or a disaster within the County of Hawaii; and <br />I FURTHER DECLARE, that this Eighth Amended Emergency Proclamation Relating to <br />the Hilo Wastewater Treatment Plant shall terminate automatically sixty (60) days after its <br />issuance, unless extended or terminated by a separate or supplementary proclamation. <br />Done at the ounty of Haw ' `i, <br />this day f June 6 <br />C o Alameda, Ph.D. <br />Mayor <br />County of Hawaii <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM <br />AND L GALITY <br />Renee N.C.
