PL-KVD-2026-000068: The applicant, Haoyan Wang, owner of Miyazaki <br />Restaurant, is requesting design review approval for a sign on an existing <br />commercial building for Unit 103, located at the southwest corner of Kuakini <br />Highway and Hualalai Road, 75-5742 Kuakini Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br />96740. The proposal includes a wood sign with a clear coat, featuring a design <br />painted in black, white, light brown, dark brown, red, and yellow. The restaurant <br />name, “Miyazaki,” appears in yellow and red, and the second line, “Sushi and <br />Izakaya,” is rendered in black letters. The sign area is 16 square feet, and the <br />maximum letter height is 9 inches.
