got back on the land and that's what healed me.And then I just started to Help a few <br /> neighbors and then it just took off so like the past 6, 7 years. I'd help manage the <br /> game out there.There are some wild cattle but just getting involved with the <br /> community helping a lot of the farmers because everybody got pig issues. Just <br /> making use of the meat. I know a lot of families.So,what I do is after I gather, I go <br /> home. Clean it up.And once you process it, I make a lot of ground pork,smoking, <br /> sausage, but I give it back to the community where I go and gather those animals <br /> from. Just,the way I was raised,where we live, is our lifestyle. I teach my kids the <br /> same way.We gather, provide,share, but always take care of the land. Our kupuna <br /> come through us through the aina. And just Mahalo to Taysen and Micah for giving <br /> me this opportunity to be a part of this special group to help make a difference for <br /> our people and for the next generation,that's what it's about a the keiki.This is, it's <br /> very educational for me stepping outside and just really getting involved again, <br /> because there was a time when I isolated myself to really heal. Feel good.And then, <br /> now it's just to give back and learn from these gentlemen. And all of you folks up <br /> there and I thank all of you guys for putting in the work,you know,and you just gotta <br /> keep banging. And just do it right at the end of the day if we all go to bed and feel <br /> alright and we know we did something good. And,yeah, it's quick one in a nutshell, <br /> but yeah,a lot of pigs,fish,you know,we go out to the ocean and gather,what we <br /> need. How about David,what's your story, David? <br /> DO Oh long story long story short now I've been on Hawaii Island for over 2S years now. <br /> That's with my family here.We all like to hunt,fish,and dive. Outdoors, land people, <br /> sustainability. My daughter is all about hiking,camping and fishing. But hopefully <br /> we'll get her into bird hunting here coming up. Pretty soon, she got 2 more years, I <br /> think.Then we could start bird hunting. I'd like to get more into hunting ungulates <br /> and more like that have been primarily focused on fishing and bird hunting. So, I'll. <br /> We are looking to get some more experiences there, but mostly,camping, hiking, <br /> fishing,sustainability. We like to catch some fish and cook them up right there.
