District one Robert or <br /> district one. <br /> RD (R. Duerr)Thank you Chair.This month, Deborah Chang. Contacted GMAC on the issue <br /> of forest access in Honomu.So, it's a 10-year project ongoing. Deborah worked with <br /> the planning department and is now retired. Back then, a landowner had provided <br /> access, but the access was not appropriate, people couldn't access it. Bottom line <br /> is she'd like to see this project move forward so that there is public access from <br /> Honomu to the Hilo forest and she'd like to make a presentation to the commission. <br /> So perhaps we can bring it up in the new business. <br /> The other thing is why Wailua River is starting to silt. So,there's an ongoing project of <br /> trying to get the state to do regular maintenance. There were bills in the legislators <br /> this session to allow for those funds, but those bills did not move forward. <br /> 2 <br />
