4.Status on a Form to Document Work on Exceptional Trees - Chair Bisel. <br />In previous discussion regarding emergency work on trees, it was recommended that we <br />should have a synopsis of what was done. This form still needs to be generated. <br />5.Status on the Revision to the Rules of Practice and Procedure  Counsel Noda. <br />Counsel Noda was unable to attend the meeting. <br />6.Draft Liability Form for the Installation of Tree Signs  Counsel Noda. <br />Counsel Noda was unable to attend the meeting. <br />7.Demise of the Ohe Tree at Manuka State Park  S. Stanbro. <br />S. Stanbro will take a photo of what is left of the tree for our file. She had previously asked <br />the park personnel to remove the debris piled on the trunk to see if something might sprout <br />up. Since the tree needs to be removed from our list, it could be done at the same time that <br />the Vancouver Orange Tree is agendized for Council action. J. Anderson stated that when <br />M. Kraus is in the area, he can also check on the remains of the tree. <br />8.Nomination of the Vancouver Orange Tree  S. Stanbro. <br />S. Stanbro amended the application to add in (Vancouver)€ after Valcencia Orange€. She <br />could not find a scientific name for Valencia Orange and theold map for the Pili Tree was <br />used to denote the location of this tree. She recalled earlier testimony that these oranges <br />were used for a fundraiser on Oahu. S.Stanbro will ask Peter Greenwell to provide such <br />written historical information to be included with the application. J. Anderson moved and E. <br />Imamura seconded the motion to accept the nomination as listed. Chair Bisel amended the <br />motion to revise the date submitted on the nomination form to May 22. Motion passed <br />unanimously.E.Imamurawillfollowupsothatbothapplicationsareplacedonthesame <br />agenda. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />1.April 30, 2007 email from Michael B. Thomas requesting a letter supporting his proposal for <br />a Kaulunani Urban & Forestry Program grant to create an Exceptional Tree website and <br />educational database. <br />Chair Bisel noted that M. Thomas is the executive director of the Centre for International <br />EthnomedicinalEducationandResearch(CIEER).Heproposestodevelopawebsitewhich <br />includes all the exceptional trees in the State. Kaulunani requested that he get letters of <br />supportfromtheotherArboristAdvisoryCommittees.M.Thomasincludedacopyofthe <br />City and County of Honolulu letter of support as a sample. After discussion on what was <br />publicrecord,J.AndersonrecommendedthatthisCommitteebeabletoreviewthe <br />information on our trees before it is placed on the website.
