Letter from New West Broadcasting Corp. regarding an employment opening for the <br />position for account executives in Hilo <br />D. Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women (HSCSW) meeting agenda for <br />February 16, 2007 <br />E. Letter from CSW informing B. Green, American Association of University Women, <br />regarding the committees recommendation for the Math/Science Conference for 7th <br />grade girls in East Hawaii <br />F. Invitation from HSCSW celebrating Womens History Month 2007 and The 35TH <br />Anniversary of Title IX on March 22, 2007 at Washington Place on Oahu. <br />Dr. Donnis Thompson, a trailblazing pioneer of the Womens Athletics Program, will <br />be honored. <br />C. Kitaoka reported that she may be attending this reception representing CSW <br />since she will be on Oahu attending another meeting. <br />REPORTS <br />A. Education <br />1. Urgent Services Directory <br />D. Pung reported that Charlene Iboshi came to a Zonta Club meeting and she <br />spoke about womens issues. She brought a packet of things to pass out and <br />D. Pung recognized the UrgentServices Directory in the packet. <br />2. First Female Booklet <br />J. Coburn said she would like CSW members to provide names of particular <br />individuals that should be included in the First Female Booklet, e.g. people who <br />were advocates as well as the first female judge in the county. She suggested <br />that CSW members email a biography and photo of the particular individual. <br />3. Essay Contest <br />C. Kitaoka reported that the awards luncheon is scheduled for Sunday, March 4, <br />2007, at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. She would like CSW members to <br />assist with the program such as the recognition of teachers, recognition of <br />principals, and the invocation. K. Peters offered to do the recognition of teachers <br />and M. Masunaga will be asked to do the recognition of principals. C. Kitaoka <br />will find someone to do the invocation. N. Kelly offered to assist C. Kitaoka with <br />the presentation of awards. <br />C. Kitaoka said that leis will be given to the 12 winners, Mayor, Council <br />Chairman, and the Real Woman. D.
