STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Michele Newman from the University of Hilo Women’s Center was a guest at the <br />meeting. She is the senior program coordinator for the Women’s Center and expressed <br />an interest in getting involved with the committee. She stated she has female students <br />that want to get involved with women’s issues and ask her for volunteer opportunities. <br />She asked for an application for the Women’s Hall of Fame and one was emailed to her. <br />Volunteer opportunities to participate at the Kona Village Stroll for voter registration on <br />August 22, 2010 and September 19, 2010 were offered.
