K. Peters moved to change CSW meeting days to the second Friday of the months that <br />the committee meets because of the furloughs. A. Mejia seconded the motion. The <br />motion was passed. <br />CSW decided to schedule the following meeting dates and location: <br />June 18, 2010 – Kona <br />July 9, 2020 – Hilo <br />August 13, 2010 – Waimea <br />September 10, 2010 – Kona <br />October 8, 2010 – Hilo <br />December 10, 2010 – Kona <br />K. Peters moved that CSW skip the November meeting and as outlined the committee <br />rotate except for the December meeting that shall be held in Kona. A. Mejia seconded <br />the motion. The motion was passed. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A.Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in Kona. <br />Location to be announced. <br />N. Kelly circulated an Elder Abuse Awareness Two-Day Training to be held in Hilo and <br />Kona in June. Secondly, the Family Violence Interagency Committee presents <br />Fostering Healthy Relationships Through Communication conference to be held on <br />May 27 and 28, 2010 at the YWCA of Hawaii Island in Hilo. <br />K. Schneider reported that she submitted a letter to the Kona Village Stroll board about <br />getting a booth for voter registration and has not yet received a response. She will <br />follow up with a phone call next week to find out the status. In addition, she has been <br />in touch with the co-president of the League of Women Voters and they are working on <br />some ideas for a brochure. Their focus is to get the voter registration done prior to the <br />primary.
