Schneider said she seen a voter registration booth at the Fourth of July parade a <br />couple of years ago. She is working on getting a booth this year at the parade. In <br />addition, she will obtain the application for the Kona Village Stroll and see if CSW will <br />be charged the booth fee or if they waive it. <br />K. Nova suggested that the Urgent Services Directory for Families be available at the <br />voter registration table. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A.Teen Dating Violence Prevention <br />J. Balberde-Kamalii reported that she received a DVD and hard copy of the script for <br />the teen dating violence play produced by Hilo High School student Maria Gacula. <br />M. Gacula has also agreed to work on getting the play as a traveling show. <br />K. Nova suggested that CSW view the DVD at the next meeting in Hilo. J. Viernes will <br />check to see whether or not a DVD player is available in the conference room. <br />B.Teens Internet Protection – A. Mejia <br />A. Mejia reported that she will start in August and call the different schools to set up the <br />presentation. C. Kitaoka suggested having the presentation at Kealakehe and <br />Konawaena Schools. A. Mejia suggested including the private schools in West Hawaii. <br />She asked CSW members to email her the names of the schools and the contact <br />person if they would like to schedule a presentation. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A.Election of Officers <br />The nominating committee comprising of N. Kelly, K. Peters, and D. Pung presented <br />the following slate of officers: <br />Chair – K. Nova <br /> <br />Vice-Chair – J. Balberde-Kamalii <br /> <br />Secretary – K. Schneider <br /> <br />Treasurer – N. Kelly <br /> <br />C. Kitaoka withdrew her name from serving as the vice-chair. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A.Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the County <br />Building, Puna conference room. <br />B.Schedules <br />C.
