Kelly noted that she has a community violence <br />coordinator in the Prosecutor’s Office who works with the Family Violence <br />Interagency Committee and the coordinator said there are pots of money, but there <br />is no big pot of gold out there. <br />B. Teens Internet Protection – A. Mejia <br />A. Mejia reported that she contacted Detective John Ancheta and he is willing to do <br />a presentation, but he needs to know what topic to be covered and how long a <br />session. <br />K. Peters said doing a presentation to the students is good, but what is missing is a <br />presentation for the parents. The committee needs to decide how the word will go <br />out to the parents. K. Nova added that when CSW brought this issue up, the idea <br />was to educate the parents so that they are smarter about what their children are <br />doing on the internet, how to block things, and how to look up facebook. <br />C. 2008 International Women’s Leadership Conference – Wednesday, September 24, <br />2008, Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and Resort <br />A. Mejia will be attending the conference on behalf of the committee. <br />D. Prospective Members <br />K.
