<br />MINUTES <br />COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Friday, April 18, 2008, 10:00 a.m. <br />Department of Liquor Control Conference Room <br />PRESENT EXCUSED <br />Dawn Pung, Chair Carol Kitaoka, Vice-Chair <br />Ellen Takazawa, Secretary Charmaine Ka-ipo <br />Nancy Kelly, Treasurer <br />Andrea Mejia GUEST <br />Katie Nova Lorraine Godoy, Program <br />Kathleen Peters Manager, HCEOC <br />Elena Cabatu, HSCSW Commissioner <br /> (ex-officio) ABSENT <br />Julie Mecklenburg, Corporation Counsel Janet Coburn <br /> (ex-officio) <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:17 a.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />A quorum was present. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />A. Mejia moved to request that New Business, A. Guest Speaker - L. Godoy, be <br />moved up on the agenda since she had to leave early. K. Peters seconded the <br />motion. The motion was passed. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />N. Kelly moved to approve the March 20, 2008 minutes. K. Nova seconded the <br />motion. The motion was passed. <br />TREASURER’S REPORT <br />The treasurer’s report was circulated. <br />N. Kelly moved to accept the treasurer’s report. E. Takazawa seconded the <br />motion. N. Kelly reported that Council member B. Ford offered to appropriate <br />funding in CSW’s budget for next year for the little projects that the committee <br />does.
