Kitaoka reported that she will submit a proposal to council member <br />B. Ford for funding support for the essay contest. <br />C. Kitaoka will contact the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel to find out the cost <br />for the upcoming awards luncheon. The initial packet will be mailed to the <br />schools in August or September. She suggested that each winning <br />teacher receive the same amount of money to encourage participation. <br />The expenses for last years essay contest were approximately $6,000. <br />4. Mentoring <br />Tabled. <br />5.Hawaii County Womens Hall of Fame <br />N.KellyreportedthatC.Kitaokasecuredroomratesof$169.00for <br />Jade Moon. CSW needs to decide whether to have Melveen Leed provide <br />entertainmentagainwhichwillcostthecommitteealittlebitmore. <br />C.Ka-ipostatedthatshewasunabletofinalizetheexpensesforlastyear, <br />but she was under the budget of $3,000. <br />2 <br /> <br />
