E. NACW Convention 2004 <br />P. Newland reported that the convention registration is not yet available on their <br />website. She was impressed that the NACW website included the HSCSW website <br />link. She wondered if CSW could become a commission instead of a committee. <br />L. Guluzzy pointed out that every state has their own structure and it depends on the <br />way its written in the statutes. CSW could possibly work on revising the statute if <br />necessary. <br />P. Newland moved to table this discussion until next month when more information <br />is available. L. Guluzzy seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, June 18, 2004, at 10 a.m. in Naalehu. <br />Location to be announced. <br />B. Schedules <br />L. Guluzzy will be unable to attend the June meeting and Womens Health Month <br />subcommittee meeting since she will be off island from June 10-21, 2004. <br />Therefore, she recommended that D. Pung attend the Hawaii Womens Coalition <br />meeting as her replacement on June 9. D. Pung agreed to attend. <br />C. Other <br />L. Guluzzy mentioned that West Hawaii Today will employ her as a freelance writer <br />effective June 1. She will be writing a seniors page.
