B. Nominating Committee <br />After voting by secret ballot, the results are as follows: <br />Vice-Chair Î L. Guluzzy and Paradise Newland (tie) <br />Secretary Î J. Balberde-Kamalii and Dawn Pung (tie) <br />Treasurer Î E. Takazawa <br />J. Balberde-Kamalii agreed to be the secretary. After some discussion, P. Newland <br />moved to table the vice-chair position to next month. D. Pung seconded the motion. <br />A ballot will be sent to D. Davis which will determine the results. The motion was <br />passed. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A. New Committees <br />Tabled. <br />B. Sponsorships and Co-Sponsorships <br />P. Newland reported that she would be willing to remove the belly dancing from her <br />proposal in order to secure another vote. She would like to reopen her proposal for <br />consideration. <br />E. Takazawa moved to accept the proposal and delete all the honorariums and the <br />belly dancers from the program. The proposal cost will be $487. D. Pung seconded <br />the motion. The motion was passed. <br />C. Guest Speakers <br />1. Ah Quon McElrath <br />M. Lake reported that she has arranged for A. McElrath to be the guest speaker <br />at the Equal Pay Day brown bag lunch seminar on April 20, 2004. CSW needs to <br />approve her airfare and lunch. <br />D. Pung moved to approve A. McElrathÓs airfare and lunch. E. Ta <br />seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />D. Training Meeting <br />Tabled. <br />E. NACW Convention 2004 <br />M. Lake reported that she was unable to obtain information about <br />Convention on July 14-18, 2004 in Pasadena, California. P. Newland volunteered to <br />get more information.
