MS. WONG: <br />My name is Gloria Wong. I am representing District 4, which is Waiakea <br />to Keaukaha. My background is in strategic planning, marketing, recently grant writing <br />and formerly real estate. <br />MR. ARMOUR: <br /> My name is Ken Armour. We own an orchid nursery in Hakalau. I <br />represent District 1. That’s Dominic’s district. We’ve lived here six years, and before <br />that I was logistics manager for Philips Electronics. So, logistics background. <br />MS. NICHOLSON: <br /> My name is Marilyn Nicholson. I am happily retired after a career of <br />20-year as an executive director of a couple of a non-profit organizations. I did serve on <br />the Cost of Government Commission the last time around and most recently on the <br />Hawai‘i County Board of Ethics. I did work for the State of Hawai‘i for awhile. <br />MS. PROVALENKO: <br /> My name is Patricia Provalenko. I represent District 9. I own my <br />own company. My company is called PATDI Incorporated. We do commercial leasing <br />and management. I also served on the last Cost of Government Commission. Since <br />that time I also served on the Salary Commission. Thank you. <br />MS. ARRIOLA: <br /> I’m Sandy Arriola and I’m with the Mayor’s Office of Information. <br />MS. CARVALHO: <br /> I’m Emarie Carvalho. I’m from the Corporation Counsel’s Office, <br />and I’m going to be here helping today. <br />MS. GARSON: <br /> Kathy Garson, I’m the Assistant Corporation Counsel, and I’ll be the <br />attorney for the Cost of Government Commission. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />MR. TAKABA: <br /> Do we have any statements for the public? Did anybody sign up? <br />MS. GARSON: <br /> No. <br />a. <br />Communication 2010-001: Transmittal from Kenneth G. Goodenow, <br /> <br />County Clerk of Resolution 249-09. <br />MR. TAKABA: <br /> Why don’t we move on to Communication 2010-001, which is the <br />transmittal from Kenneth Goodenow, County Clerk. It transmits Resolution 249-09, <br />which is in your packet just after the agenda. It basically speaks to sustainability and <br />committing sustainability. So, you can take a look at it if you haven’t already. We need <br />a motion to file if that’s appropriate. <br />MOTION:MS. NICHOLSON: <br /> I move we accept and file Resolution 249-09. <br />MS. PROVALENKO: <br /> I second. <br />MR. TAKABA: <br /> Moved and seconded to file Resolution 249-09 along with this <br />communication. Do we have any discussions? <br />MS.
