Motion was unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Establishing Solid Waste Fees by the Environmental Management Commission <br /> <br />Carolyn Witcher moved that the Commission initiate the process to accept the <br />responsibility for setting solid waste related fees. Barbara Bell seconded the motion. <br />Motion was unanimously carried. <br /> <br />David Frankel stated that the Commission needs to provide more guidance on the motions. <br />At the next meeting, the Commission should develop conditions and detailed criteria for <br />the establishment of fees rather than the legislative auditors or the Council. <br />Riley stated that the intent of this motion is to direct Corporation Counsel to pursue a <br />request with County Council asking for the authority that the Commission be involved in <br />setting fees.
