<br />An offer of greenwaste and other diversion materials has been made for use in development of <br />the 10-acre off road motor bike club area by the drag strip. <br />Solid Waste Division ChiefÓs Report <br /> (attached to original minutes) <br />HIGH SURF IMPACT: <br />The landfill and transfer stations have not been impacted to dat <br />under way, an increase in greenwaste and construction/demolition <br />landfill. <br />HILO LANDFILL: <br />Smith requested that the estimated date be included in future Solid Waste Division ChiefÓs <br />Report. <br />Tyson reiterated that the Pacific Waste proposal was unsolicited and not specific regarding the <br />methodology. <br />The landfill is currently operating under an administrative extension of a previous permit. <br />Wastewater Division ChiefÓs Report <br />(attached to original minutes) <br />HIGH SURF IMPACT: <br />Wailuku Pump Station was impacted with damage to the access road, fences, gates and add-on <br />structure roof. Repairs have begun. There was no interruption in service nor impacts to public <br />health. <br />NORTH KONA IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT: <br />Resolution is expected to be agendized for the December 2, 2003 Finance Committee meeting. <br />Use of county funds vs. private developers is to be determined at a later date. <br />Copies of the consultant study will be provided to the commission for comments when <br />available. <br />KEALAKEHE EFFLUENT REUSE, PH. 1: <br />Boucher gave a project overview and described the current scope. <br />KEALAKEHE WETLANDS: <br />Is in congressional sub-committee. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />6. <br />DISCUSSION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION REQUESTING COUNTY COUNCIL TO <br />AMEND COUNTY CHARTER REDEFINING THE COMMISSION RESPONSIBILITIES <br />(attached to original minutes) <br />Submitted to Council.
