The hotel has a 75% recycling rate. Their recycling information for 2006 was <br />distributed (attached to the original minutes). <br />HPOWER: 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. (Waste processing facility) <br />The group viewed a video of the facility operations before taking a walking tour of the site. <br />(Covanta Energy Solid Waste Annual summary for FY 2006-2007 was available and is <br />attached to original minutes.) <br />Schnitzer Steel12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. (Scrap metal facility) <br />: <br />Jim Banigan, General Manager, and Rene Mansho, Community Relations Director, <br />accompanied the group on a bus tour of the facility and distributed information packets <br />(attached to original minutes). <br />Kapolei Shopping Center: <br />Due to being behind schedule, the group did not break for lunch. <br /> <br />
