6/22/20116/22/2011 <br />Permanent Resident Population BaseQuestions? <br />In the past, what data has been available for each group? <br />Permanent Resident Population Base <br />• <br />Military sponsors and their dependents: <br />-In the past, the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) has provided data <br />by zip code of residence for military sponsors. <br />-In the past, DMDC has provided the number of dependents claimed by a sponsor <br />but did not provide information on the residence of those dependents. <br />Students: <br />-In the past, the University of Hawaii and some private universities in Hawaii have provided <br />counts of the number of non-resident students by campus, but did not provide <br />residence information. <br />-In the past, no counts of Hawaii permanent residents attending universities on the mainland <br />have been obtained. <br />Convicted Felons: <br />-In the past, the Hawaii Department of Public Safety, Corrections Division has provided <br />counts of the number of convicted felons incarcerated in Hawaii correctional facilities. <br />Aliens and their dependents: <br />-In the past, no counts of aliens residing in Hawaii on census day have been obtained. <br />55 <br />
