MR. UDOVIC: Maybe it would be wise at this point in time to have one person discuss with her
what the nature of the---

MR. MELROSE: I donÓt want to cross that line; I just want to be able to help that process. If the
County canÓt do it, then I need to find some way to get the University to help do it. We will need
to go out and do that pretty quickly. So, what IÓm taking is that rather than creating an Ad Hoc
group, we are just going to try to have a conversation about that in the interim to help prepare for
our presentation. Is that fair?
MR. UDOVIC: ThatÓs fine.

CHR. SIRACUSA: Does anyone else have anything to discuss?

MR. MIDDLESWORTH: I have a couple of questions about the technical support aspects of
this as far as the public is concerned. Are there going to be computers available for people to
come to the County offices and do this sort of thing? Or, those of us who donÓt have computers;
are we going to have computers available? In terms of the logistics of it, what sort of physical
support is the County going to supply?

MR. OSHIRO: If we can fit it into our budget, we will have a computer for

MR. MIDDLESWORTH: In other words, we would have to spend some of our $75,000 to
the computer.

MR. OSHIRO: Correct.

MR. MIDDLESWORTH: ThatÓs fine, because that kind of computer is not that costly

MR. OSHIRO: Currently, whatÓs on the table for the Council is $75,000 for
budget. We have $7,000 up through June 30, 2011. So hopefully, Council passes the budget,
and we will have $75,000.

CHR. SIRACUSA: I have a question. We are going to be buying the software anyway; that has
to happen.

MR. MELROSE: No, weÓre not, itÓs the State.

CHR. SIRACUSA: Who buys the software that we are going to be using?

MS. NAKAMOTO: Mr. Rosenbrock, when he was here doing his presentation told us the State
has a contract to purchase the software and get support from ESRI. The State has given the
County two licenses for our office to use to draw the plan; so we will have access for two
licenses. Mr. Rosenbrock, at the last meeting, mentioned that at any given time there could be
20 users. Those 20 users would need to get Ðlog inÑ so that they could sign on to the program if
you want to draw your plan.

16
