Communication No. 2006 -58: Letter dated 5/15/06 from BOE to Karl <br />Kawahara, re: Thank you for your service to Board of Ethics. <br />c. Communication No. 2006 -59: Letter dated 5/15/06 from BOE to Jessica <br />Rapholz, re: Review of communication by the Board of Ethics and referral of <br />the matter to Research and Development Department. <br />d. Communication No. 2006 -60: Memorandum dated 5/15/06 from BOE to Jane <br />H. Testa, Director, Research and Development, re: Jessica M. Rapholz <br />Allegations against Faith Against Drugs (FAD). <br />Ms. Lum moved to accept and file all outgoing correspondence; Mr. Joseph <br />seconded the motion; all members voted aye, motion carried. <br />5. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Review of Disclosure of Financial Interest statements filed pursuant to §2- <br />91.1(d), Hawaii County Code, where the individuals involved requested <br />review in regular session, of: <br />1. Sharpless, Kendall Board of Ethics <br />2. Ban, June Akiko Appraiser II - Real Property Tax <br />b. Review of Gift Disclosure Statements for: <br />1. Ikeda, Donald <br />Council Member <br />2. Holschuh, Fred <br />Council Member <br />3. Higa, Stacy <br />Council Member <br />4. Arakaki, James <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Joseph moved to accept and file the Disclosures of Financial Interest and Gift <br />Disclosure Statements; Mr. Inouye seconded the motion; all members voted aye, <br />motion carried. <br />c. Election of Vice Chair to the Board. <br />Ms. Sharpless moved to elect Wayne Joseph as the Vice Chair to the Board of <br />Ethics; Ms. Lum seconded the motion; Mr. Joseph abstained; the remaining members <br />voted aye; motion carried. <br />2 <br />
