CALL TO ORDER (10:35 a.m.) <br />CHAIR: Thank you, everyone, for being patient. We'll now call the Board of Ethics to <br />order. First item on the agenda is statements from the public, and would you <br />like to give your statement now or when we get to that specific item on the <br />agenda? <br />2. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />ASHIDA: Mr. Chairman -- <br />CHAIR: Yes -- <br />ASHIDA: - -if I may address the public? Good morning, everyone. My name is Lincoln <br />Ashida. I'm the Corporation Counsel, and I represent the Board of Ethics. <br />Thank you for all being here today, it's nice to see so many people here. It <br />would be the first time that I cover the Board of Ethics that this many people <br />are here, it's just my luck I guess. We have two major items on the agenda <br />today, and I surmise that maybe a majoritya number of you are here for <br />those items. If you look at the agenda there, and number 5, petition numbers <br />07 -03, involving Councilmember Bob Jacobson, and the next item, 07 -04, <br />involving Councilmember Emily Nae`ole. Both items appear on the agenda, <br />and under our State Sunshine Law, any member of the public is free to offer <br />' Minutes are verbatim for agenda items 1 through 5 due to the subject matter. For the rest of the agenda, minutes <br />are summarized. <br />
