L UM: Oh, okay. <br />NICHOLSON Is this the first time that Councilman Jacobson is proposing to <br />transfer some of his contingency.funds to support this program? <br />LIVELY: No. No, actually, this discussion —the Council members had this discussion <br />twice before amongst themselves when our first application came before them for a <br />non-profit grant award, which was approved, and for one other transfer that he did <br />with his contingency funds for the same purpose. <br />NICHOLSON: And were you— <br />LIVELY- - -The only reason- <br />NICHOLSON: - -a staff member at that time? <br />LIVELY What's that? <br />NICHOLSON: Did you work for him at that time also? <br />LIVELY: Yes, yes. In a different capacity, but yes, 1 did work for him. <br />CHAIR: I'm not saying anything because I don't see any problems. <br />LUM: I don't, either. <br />NICHOLSON: I don't, either. <br />LIVELY: Thank you- <br />LUM: -- Councilman Jacobson has— <br />LIVELY.- - -It's just that, you know, we do —we wear so many hats, and it would be so <br />discouraging if we had to kind of limit what we do because of what we do, you know. <br />And I really don't, you know, profit in any way. In fact, my family would be so happy <br />if I would give up some of these hats, but- <br />LUM: - -I was just thinking that Councilmember Jacobson seems to find these really <br />busy, competent people and hire them, you know. <br />HULTMAN- SALFEN: Well we appreciate that, thank you. <br />DILL: Thank you guys for all your hard work. <br />L UM: Yeah, I— <br />DILL: So I move that we accept this as not having any kind of conflict of interest. <br />18 <br />
