In that <br /> report the Cost of Government Commission made the following recommendations for your <br /> department: <br /> • Have all departments revisit their telecommunication costs and verify the <br /> number of lines within their department. <br /> • Recommend implementation of a five-day payroll lag. <br /> • Recommend that the County explore the possibility of leasing County <br /> vehicles. <br /> • Recommend discontinuing having all departmental bills come with return <br /> envelopes enclosed for automatic payment customers. <br /> Please advise us if your department implemented said recommendations. If said <br /> recommendations were not implemented, please state why it was not implemented(what were <br /> the barriers with implementation). <br /> Because we have only eleven (11)months to fulfill our Charter mandate, we would <br /> greatly appreciate a response no later than October 1,2010.
