<br />VALERIE POINDEXTER <br />RENÉ SIRACUSA JEFFREY MELROSE <br />Chair JOHN “MIKE” MIDDLESWORTH <br />PATRICK KAHAWAIOLA‘A <br />DRU MAMO KANUHA LINDA UGALDE <br />Vice Chair CRAIG “BO” KAHUI <br />JOSEPH CARVALHO <br />2011 <br />HAWAI‘I COUNTY <br />REDISTRICTING COMMISSION <br />DATE: June 15, 2011 <br />TO: Members of the 2011 Hawai‘i County Redistricting Commission <br />FROM: René Siracusa, Chairperson <br />RE: CREATION OF AN AD HOC TECHNICAL COMMITTEE <br />To follow up on the discussion at the May 12, 2011, Redistricting Commission meeting, I would <br />like this Commission to consider the creation of an Ad hoc Technical Committee. <br />Pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes (HRS) § 92-2.5(b)(1) this ad hoc committee, if created, <br />will be limited in scope and shall be composed of at least two members, but not more than would <br />constitute a quorum of the Commission. Upon the completion of the ad hoc committee’s work, it <br />shall be disbanded immediately. The method of appointing members shall be decided upon by <br />the Commission members present at the June 23, 2011 meeting. <br />COMM. 21 <br />Serving the Interests of the People of Our Island <br />
