2. April Kozelisky <br />Ms. Kozelisky is a resident of Milolii and spoke in support of the property <br />located below Naalehu Police Station and above Whittington Beach Park, <br />which is owned by Sunrise Oceanfront Farms. A "For Sale" sign is posted <br />on the property for future plans for 20 -acre lot parcels on 380 acres. <br />Ms. Kozelisky would like this picturesque property preserved, to not <br />obstruct the beautiful coastal views. <br />Ms. Kozelisky is also the author of Communication No. 05 -005, on the <br />agenda today. <br />Chair Replogle thanked her and invited her to the HOVE Community <br />meeting planned for Friday, January 27, 2006. <br />WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br />Communication No. 05 -005 received from April Kozelisky was discussed above <br />in "Statements From the Public." <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Schuster noted a grammatical error on page 2 of the minutes dated <br />January 9, 2006, under the heading of Committee Reports, Rules and <br />Procedures, line 3. The word "do" should read "due." <br />Ms. Springer moved for approval of the Minutes of January 9, 2006 as amended, <br />seconded by Ms. Schuster and carried unanimously by voice vote. <br />FINANCE DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br />Mr. William "Bill' Takaba, Finance Director for the County of Hawaii, thanked the <br />Commissioners for their hard work and dedication to this Commission. He <br />informed the Commissioners that the Department of Finance is presently in the <br />process of creating a new division, "Property Management Division," within his <br />department that will eventually handle all land matters, including this <br />Commission. Attached to this newly created Division will be a budget. As this <br />Commission started off mid -year, there was no budget. However, this should <br />NOT stop this Commission from doing its assigned work. Commissioners please <br />purchase materials that are needed and keep the receipts for submission and <br />reimbursement. <br />Mr. Takaba asked the commissioners to contact Cathy should you require <br />additional copies of maps, TMK maps, etc. This procedure will alleviate <br />confusion at the different County departments. <br />2 <br />
