DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE REPORT Nancy Crawford thanked all commissioners for their hard work and dedication to the Mayor and she was very impressed with the commissioners' organization skills in assembling the paperwork in such a short time. CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT None UNFINISHED BUSINESS The Commissioners continued working on prioritizing the list for the Mayor's Report due April 5, 2006. For the record, Commissioner Jocelyn Garovoy provided no input on the completed survey forms submitted for Cohen in Holding (near Lapakahi State Park) and Gordy in Holding (property within Lapakahi State Park). ANNOUNCEMENTS The Commission's secretary passed out the schedule for the State of Hawaii Sunshine Law Workshops sponsored by the Office of the Corporation Counsel and presented by Leslie Kondo, Director of the Office of Information Practices to be held in Hilo on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 and in Kona on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. The Commissioners were encouraged to attend. Motion was made by Commissioner Hannah Springer to take a recess and to reconvene on Monday, April 3, 2006, seconded by Commissioner Laura Schuster, and carried unanimously by voice vote. Meeting was reconvened on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., by Vice - Chair Hannah Springer. Commissioners present at Monday, April 3, 2006 meeting were Commissioners Jocelyn Garovoy, Ruth Walker, Laura Schuster, Kenneth Kaneshiro, Paul Campbell and Hannah Springer. Also present were Stanley Iwamoto from the Department of Finance, Amy Self, Deputy Corporation Counsel and Cathy Minor. Commissioners reviewed the "Draft" report to the Mayor prepared by Commissioner Jocelyn Garovoy and "Draft" cover letter prepared by Commissioner Kenneth Kaneshiro. After reviewing the cover letter and report to the Mayor, the Commissioners worked together and finalized both. Commissioners worked together and completed the prioritized list for the Mayor due April 5, 2006. 2
